Mertz Gilmore Foundation
Meeting House
The newly renovated Mertz Gilmore Foundation Meeting House is located at 218 East 18th Street in the Gramercy Park area of New York City. The building is a four-story, walk-up brownstone. It houses the Foundation’s offices, Dance/NYC, and two meeting spaces which are available for use, free of charge, by 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
The meeting spaces, subject to availability, are available for meetings and gatherings of nonprofit groups that are advancing social justice and equity. They are intended to help nonprofits plan and achieve their organizational goals and are not available for fundraising, political events, or religious ceremonies.
The conference room, located on the third floor, can accommodate groups of up to 15 people. On the garden level, there is a small conference room that can seat up to 8 people. There is a garden patio adjacent to the small conference room, and it is available to groups reserving space in the small conference room. If there is no meeting scheduled in the small conference room, the garden patio can be reserved concurrently with the large conference room.
The meeting spaces are available on Mondays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer months (June-August). In September, meeting spaces will be available Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required. To reserve a meeting space, please submit a request by email to Meeting Space[at]mertzgilmore.org. Review of requests can take up to 5 business days.
